Physical Therapist, Doctor of Physical Therapy,
Board Certified Women's Health Clinical Specialist*
Certified Lymphedema Therapist
*One of only 3 WCS PTs in the State of Alaska.
Jessica Pyatt has been a physical therapist since 2011, with a background in athletic training, biomechanics research, and hands-on experience across various physical therapy settings. She chose this field for the dedicated, one-on-one time with clients—working together to promote healing through movement and education.
Committed to lifelong learning, Jessica has completed two advanced residencies, a distinction not required in her field but reflective of her dedication. She first completed an Orthopedic Residency at the University of Wisconsin, gaining expertise in manual therapy, movement analysis, musculoskeletal dysfunction, and clinical reasoning. She later pursued a Women’s Health Residency at Baylor/Texas Woman’s University to bring specialized pelvic health services to rural Southeast Alaska, expanding her skills in pelvic pain, bowel and bladder dysfunction for all genders, pregnancy and postpartum care, oncology-related PT, lymphedema, and chronic pain—conditions that are common yet often not discussed.
Through her work, Jessica found that many orthopedic clients were experiencing unaddressed pelvic floor dysfunction. She is comfortable discussing these issues to provide whole-person care and help individuals improve their quality of life.
Jessica’s experience spans a wide range of patients and conditions. She thrives in the dynamic nature of rural healthcare, where she can support her community’s diverse needs. Taking a whole-person approach, she considers all contributing body systems to address orthopedic dysfunction at its root. She is committed to fostering a trauma-informed environment where patients feel safe, heard, and empowered in their recovery.
As a former collegiate athlete, Jessica values movement across all life stages and the importance of adaptation. She works collaboratively with you to achieve your goals, navigate challenges, and get back to where you want to be.
